Fitness & Therapeutic Exercise

Exercise is more than just working up a sweat. It’s about getting MORE out of life.

More than a fitness journey.

Keep fit, recover from injuries or a health issue, maintain independence – whatever your goals, our classes and personal training will help you get there.

Our Allied Health professionals work with you to develop a personal Exercise Program that suits your needs. Under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional, you can enjoy exercising in a safe and supporting group or one-to-one environment that helps you achieve your wellness goals.

We understand that maintaining your independence and leading an active lifestyle often go hand in hand. This is more than just a fitness journey; it’s about continuing to live the life you want. ECH’s Fitness classes and Therapeutic programs provide an enjoyable way to embrace a healthy lifestyle, build a routine and join a community of people navigating a similar stage in life.

Driven by your goals.

All our classes are designed to help you reach your goals, no matter what they might be:

  • Play actively with your grandchildren or resume your favourite pastimes, free from discomfort
  • Regain mobility to prevent trips or falls
  • Recover from surgery and get back into your routine
  • Rehabilitation from a cardiac event or stroke that has affected your mobility
  • Prevent serious health issues by managing blood pressure and cholesterol

A personalised approach to exercise.

After a one-on-one consultation with one of our Exercise Physiologists, they will develop a personalised fitness or therapeutic exercise program designed to meet your goals.

We’ll recommend ECH classes or personal training based on your abilities, lifestyle, goals, and health needs, and if needed, other allied health services to help you achieve your health outcomes. Our classes are run by Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and Fitness Leaders (qualified Personal Trainers), who are all experienced in training older people with varying fitness levels and abilities.

We also support individuals navigating health issues such as Osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s, a stroke, or a cardiac event. Our team offer expert guidance in an inclusive and supportive environment, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and motivated.

So, whether you’re looking for support with a health issue, or just wanting to get more active – we have a range of classes that suit you.
